Opportunities Unlimited provides personal, social, and behavioral skills training for adults with developmental disabilities, including intellectual disabilities. Serves the residents of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County. This program facilitates self-empowerment, community integration, and independent living through skills assessment and person-centered planning. Services include: Support with personal care, daily hygiene, health and safety. Diet monitoring and feeding assistance. Socialization with peers. Volunteer opportunities at several local organizations and participation in local charitable events. Training to develop abilities in personal and self care and to use community resources. Training to develop social and emotional awareness and positive behaviors. The program operates from 8:30 a.m-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Participation requires 14-35 hours weekly. Individuals participating in this program must have a Community Living, Building Independence, or Family Individual Support Waiver. Program is licensed by Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS)
