Special Needs Summer Camp
Activities Created for Enrichment (ACE) is designed for children ages 5-21 years old who have severe or profound developmental disabilities.
Program Schedule
ACE Summer Camp programming includes full-week sessions from June to August, with drop-off / pick-up times being scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Activities include arts, crafts, games, music, movements, swimming, and field trips.
Staffing
Staff to participant ration is 1:1 through 1:4, and each staff member has been screened, trained especially for this camp, and has experience with kids who have disabilities.
Funding
ACE is funded through a purchase of service agreement through Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism; the City of Roanoke Parks and Recreation; and the City of Salem Parks and Recreation.
