Information about the Autism Grant

The Autism Grant is a tuition scholarship for individuals enrolled in any Founders Center program. We know that early diagnosis and treatment (between the ages of 2 to 5 years) is crucial to making a long-term impact on a child’s ability to achieve his or her full potential.

Autism is treatable, yet many families cannot afford to provide their children with the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment recommended by the Surgeon General. Numerous studies have proven the benefits of ABA treatment for children with Autism. At The Founders Center, we have seen approximately 70% of our students who receive ABA treatment through our early childhood programs are able to transition into public school settings by the age of 6.

Unfortunately, even with the state mandate in Virginia for coverage of ABA services in most insurance policies, there exists a gap between what insurance will cover and what intensive programs like those offered by CA Children’s Program cost. Therefore, the mission of the Autism Grant is to make ABA based treatment available to financially disadvantaged children.

The Autism Grant provides program support to individuals enrolled in CA Children’s Program. All donations to the Autism Grant are both tax deductible and eligible for corporate matches.
