Autism Support Across the Commonwealth

We’re working towards equitability in our community by reimagining human service systems. CA Human Services collaborates to innovate, operate, and model services that support community inclusion for Virginians with developmental disabilities such as autism through advocacy that builds awareness and creates engagement.

We provide resources to individuals, families, and professionals across the Commonwealth.

20th Annual Autism Conference now Available On-Demand

COMMUNITY: STRONGER TOGETHER

Established in 2001, CA’s Annual Autism Conference is Virginias oldest statewide conference for the latest information on autism and evidence-based interventions. In this our 20th year, we focus on collaborative and innovative practices. Sessions from this year’s conference are available on-demand until September 16, 2022. To learn more, and register for access, visit our conference page.

Advocating for Future Change

Policymakers don’t always understand the issues impacting people with developmental disabilities such as autism. We build awareness through community and corporate organization and engagement, alliances with state and local governments and agencies, and public-private partnerships.

Enabling Change for Tomorrow

Service organization employees are often overwhelmed and may lack expertise in the latest evidence-based interventions. We equip our partners with the tools and capacity to serve.

Creating Change Today

People with developmental disabilities such as autism and their families have a lot of questions. The first one is usually, “Is this autism?” And then, “Now what?” We provide answers and support by offering children & adult programs, assessments, and a searchable database of resources for families.
